Upcycling: 5 Outfits for $10!

Conscious consumerism. What does that even mean? The Homeostaceis definition of conscious consumerism is to make purchases that are both a vote for humanity and the earth. Every time you spend a dollar, you are voting for the type of society that you want to live in. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to live in a society that pillages the earth for her resources, creates a ton of waste and ultimately destroys our planet. I want to do better than this, and while we cannot change the world overnight, we can change ourselves. This series challenges you to see things in a new light, and get creative on how you can support the earth and your fellow {wo}man.

Episode 1: We went shopping at our local thrift store in Georgia, and we were able to come up with 5 different outfits for just $10! There were only a few things included from our pre-owned selection in order to create the outfits. In this episode we repurposed a bridesmaid skirt and even were able to get some name brand items! Check it out!
